Choosing Wonder Every Day | A Reflection on Living with Curiosity
Choosing Wonder Every Day
Discover how choosing wonder over certainty can transform your spiritual journey and help you recognize the extraordinary within everyday life.
One of the greatest gifts of walking a spiritual path is that it teaches us to keep our sense of wonder.
Children do this naturally.
They notice butterflies.
They ask questions.
They become fascinated by clouds, birds, stars, and flowers.
Somewhere along the way, many adults become so busy managing life that they stop noticing its quiet miracles.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching wonder return.
I see it when someone recognizes their intuition for the first time.
When a student understands a spiritual concept that once felt impossible.
When someone leaves a class standing a little taller because they finally believe in themselves.
Those moments never become ordinary to me.
After all these years, I still find myself inspired by the courage people show when they choose growth over comfort.
Wonder isn't about chasing extraordinary experiences.
It's about paying attention.
It's noticing the kindness of a stranger.
The perfect book arriving at just the right time.
A meaningful conversation.
A sunrise.
A butterfly crossing your path.
A moment of peace after a difficult season.
These experiences remind me that the Divine is always communicating with us.
Not always through dramatic signs.
Often through quiet moments that invite us to pause, smile, and remember that life is filled with beauty waiting to be noticed.
This month, I encourage you to give yourself permission to be curious again.
Ask questions.
Explore something new.
Read a book that stretches your thinking.
Spend time in nature.
Listen more deeply.
Laugh often.
Allow yourself to be surprised.
When we choose wonder, we remain teachable.
When we remain teachable, we continue growing.
And when we continue growing, life continues revealing new possibilities.
My hope for you this month is simple.
May you notice more beauty than worry.
More gratitude than fear.
More possibilities than limitations.
And may you never lose your sense of wonder.
