Why is Life so Challenging?

Lately, I’ve noticed more and more people stepping away from their spirituality and core beliefs. The world feels heavy right now—so much drama, chaos, and turmoil. It can be painful to witness, and even more painful to feel the waves of suffering and desperation around us. Naturally, this leads many to ask: Why would God, the Divine, or Source allow this to happen? I understand that question deeply—I’ve asked it myself many times.

The truth is, we came into this physical reality to experience life and to contribute to shifting the world toward a better place. Each of us was given the gift of free will—the ability to choose our experiences and how we respond to them. We were never promised perfection in this life. Instead, we were given choice, and it is through our choices that our experiences take shape. Every person has the right to their own perspective, their own beliefs, and their own way of interpreting the world.

As a spiritual leader, I want to be clear—my life is not perfect, and I am not perfect. I am having a human experience just like everyone else. The challenges we face are not punishments; they are opportunities. They invite us to grow, to evolve, and to expand our awareness. With each repeated situation, life offers us a chance to choose differently—a new reaction, a fresh perspective, a deeper understanding. We’ve all heard the saying: Do you see the glass as half full or half empty? Within that simple phrase lies a powerful truth. Can we train ourselves to find the blessing, the beauty, and the growth within every experience?

My own life has been filled with hardships and obstacles. Yet each one has strengthened me. Each one has deepened my compassion for others walking through similar struggles. At every crossroads, I had a choice: to remain in the role of victim, or to seek out the hidden gift and move forward with greater wisdom.

So, what do I choose for this world? I choose to send love and light to all beings and all things. I choose to be grateful for every breath, every lesson, and every experience this physical life offers. And I choose to keep evolving—because every challenge is not just a test, but an invitation to grow into more of who we are meant to be.
